GEO1/5: ROCKS

This unit is about Different Rocks and how they are formed. A rock is an aggregate of mineral of minerals, existing in a solid state. The minerals which make up a rock are formed from elements like potassium, calcium, iron, aluminum and silicon. Some minerals such as gold, quartz and bauxite have more than one element. Rocks can therefore be defined by their mineralogical composition nut not necessarily by hardness.
