This unit describes the pre-independence administration in East Africa . talks about the colonial administrative policies as well . Here we shall look at Direct and indirect rule as the administrative policies ventured by the colonialists in East Africa ,further still we shall look at the general impact of these policies ie Direct and indirect rule .
