(i) What is the purpose of a file extension.                                           (02 marks)

(ii) Write the file extension for word processor document.                   (01 mark)

(b) Okello deleted his file accidentally in which he can recover his file?
(02 marks)

  1. During a practical examination students were required to open a blank file and save its as
    D:\STUDENT WORK\EOT PRACTICAL\safety.doc.

(a) State the name of the immediate subfolder in which students must save the file.

    b)To drag is a way of moving an object from one position to another on the computer screen.
    To drag any other object,select the object that you want to move on the screen by holding the mouse button down as a cursor is moved on the screen and the object is also moved with the cursor position.When the cursor reaches the desired position,the button is then released.
    ii)To copy is creating  a new file which has the same content as an existing file.
    Go to file,highlight it by clicking once with the mouse and holding down the shift key.Right click on the highlighted file and select copy,press ctrl + c then edit at the top and choose copy.
    iii)To move is taking one or more files from one location to another.
    Highlight the files you want to move and press the keyboard shortcut command + v to move files.
