Non-governmental organisations in Uganda are involved in training youths and women to acquire skills for self-employment and small scale business management. Potential entrepreneurs are encouraged to save so as to raise capital for establishing business ventures rather than relying on financial institutions like commercial banks. Technological advancement and the shift to global economy have opened up the door to tremendous business opportunities for entrepreneurs.
