1.An object starts from rest and moves with an acceleration of 10 m/s² for 4s. Calculate the velocity and the distance travelled.

2.A car starts from rest and is accelerated uniformly at the rate of 5m/s² for 10s to attain a maximum velocity. It then maintained this velocity for 40s .The brakes were then applied and the car uniformly retarded yo rest in 5s.

a)Calculate the maximum velocity attained.

b) Sketch a velocity-time graph for the motion .

c) Find the total distance travelled.
