Context

Lack of electricity is becoming an increasing concern in your school

In fact, without electricity, both learners and teachers in your school are finding it difficult to:

• Make copies of school assignments
• Connect to the internet to research on materials available online.
• Attend to night lessons, among others.

The only generator available is becoming expensive to run. An NGO has offered to distribute electricity in your school but the locals have to mobilize elements for use. Some of the elements available are charcoal, copper, zinc and aluminum .

The school authority has organized a meeting in your school to inform the parents and the locals about the good news from the NGO.

As a learner who now understands the chemistry of elements, the NGO has asked you on their behalf to advise the school authority, parents and the locals on the type of elements they should buy for use.

Prepare a message you are to deliver during the meeting. Your message should include the reason (s) for the choice of the element (s)
