Sample Activity of Electromagnetic Effects

One day you happen to visit your grandparents who live deep in the village. In this village, the government has not extended electricity and therefore they use other means for lighting. Amidst conversation, your grandfather tells you that their paraffin is over and they are most likely to have no lights at night because they do not have money and even the trading centre where they buy the paraffin is far away from their home. Surprisingly, you find out that his old radio that he used long time ago in 1980s was dismantled by his grandchildren. However, there is a magnet from the speaker and wires. Good enough, you find that there are small LED lamps from a torch whose other parts were destroyed but LED lamps are still functioning.

Task

Basing on what is already available, write a report to explain how you can generate some small current that can light the bulb so that your grandparents can at leas have light at night. Construct that circuit you would design at your grandparents home and test it.
