Sample activity of integration – Maps and their Uses

A rotary club has organized a 20 kilometre cancer run to raise awareness about the cancer epidemic. You have been given the task to draw a route sketch that will create public awareness. You are provided with a topographical map of your area with a scale of 1:50,000. On your sketch map, indicate check points at an interval of 2 kilometres, first aid points at an interval of 4 kilometres, start and end points. Write a brief explanation of the route from both the topographical map and the sketch map that you have drawn.
