Sample Activity of Integration – Nature of Soil and Soil Conservation

In the Eastern part of Uganda, farmers are in a dilemma after rain washing away the top soil and all plants in it leaving at risk of high food shortages. The area is hilly and mountainous and therefore prone to land slides. The farmers in this area largely depend on their natural environment for both subsistence agriculture and energy sources for home use and thus has also contributed to natural calamities in the area.

Imagine you have been appointed as a government officer to sensitise farmers lon how to maintain, preserve soil in this community. Write a speech you would give to sensitise these farm.
