Sample Activity of Integration of Population and Urbanisation in Africa

Each year, on July 11, Africa joins the rest of the world to celebrate the World Population Day. The event was established by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme in 1989. This annual event is observed to focus on the importance of population and development issues. Imagine you were invited to represent Uganda for this year’s celebrations at the headquarters of African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethopia under the theme “Population and urban development in Africa and Other parts of the world”.
