There are people in marriage where by one partner has an STD such as HIV, while the other does not. This is often the case when one person is HIV positive, and the other is HIV negative. These couples can live a long, happy and healthy life together. Knowing your own status and that of your partner allows for an open and honest relationship and builds trust. The female will experience oestrus regularly.
Yet the desire for children among these people is high, especially in the young age group. This creates serious dilemma for fertility decision-making in such couples. Many times, the female becomes pregnant. Often, the mothers deliver bouncing health babies.
