Sample activity of integration on LSC S1:Drama: themes, techniques and terminology

Young women are still discriminated against in Uganda and in many regions, there is an expectation that young women will work at home. However, or these young women, they have very different ideas. They would like access to a good education and their expectations of family life are modern expectations. Barriers to women empowerment include traditional family beliefs. Using social media in the form of WhatsApp groups, young women are now taking a stand against harassment and discrimination.

  1. Write a conversation that takes place on WhatsApp, where you agree or disagree to using social media as a tool to voice opinions. State why you think that using social media will or will not make a change to people’s mindsets. State what you think needs to change and how this change
    needs to be brought about, should there be a need for change in society. The conversation needs to include a group of male and female learners from Senior
  2. 1. Use age appropriate vocabulary.
  3. Make sure you get your argument across clearly.

5.Discuss and analyse theme, dialogue, actions and predicted outcomes.
