FLOODS CAUSE SUFFERING AND HARDSHIP
FOR THOUSANDS OF UGANDANS
Ugandans living in the Bwaise Parish suffer immensely during the floods not only from losing their family members but also from losing their livelihoods and belongings. Much damage is caused due to poor disaster management. Do research on flooding in the Bwaise Parish. How often does severe flooding occur?
What is the impact of this flooding on the general population?
What can be done to prevent the severity of the floods?
What is disaster management? How can it prevent further damage?
Write a poem advising the people living in Bwaise Parish on how to deal
with the floods.
What can they do to prevent major damage?
Come up with at least five ways to help the communities.
