Chapter Summary
The establishment of colonial rule in East Africa was received differently. For those who collaborated with the colonialists and aided the expansion of colonial rule into East Africa, colonial rule was a good thing since they received some benefits such as improved infrastructure and education. However, to those who resisted it, they were grieved since they were ignored and left with no development. All in all, both of them finally lost their independence to the White man.
