From the discussions you have held, you have now realised that the 1st—4th commandments were to guide Israelites to deal with God and with fellow human beings. They promote good values such as divine superiority, uniqueness of God, monotheism, faithfulness, obedience, commitment, submission,
divine worship and service to God.
The 5th—10th commandment promotes the values of; respect for family, respect for marriage, respect for human life and respect for ownership of property and the value for integrity. Other values are; honour, obedience, care, consideration,
humility, responsibility, courtesy, commitment, self—control, honesty, faithfulness, self—reliance, hard work, cooperation, concern, contentment, good personal conduct, among others. You have also understood that it is very important for a Christian to obey laws most especially divine laws. Parental laws are very vital. Obedience to them causes one to be blessed and to
enjoy long life.
