The Government rolled out the new Competence-based Lower Secondary Curriculum in February, 2020. Your final examinations are fast approaching. From experience, many learners fail to perform well, majorly, because of poor preparation.

Task

Make a well-detailed revision timetable that will enable you to prepare adequately for your final examinations.

Sample Activity of Integration

Youth unemployment is increasing rapidly in Uganda. In order to combat this challenge, the Government of Uganda has introduced many interventions, one of which is the Youth Livelihood Programme, where groups of youths are given start-up capital/funds. Support: The start-up capital given is UGX 10 million.

Task

If you are the chairperson of a certain group of youths, design a detailed investment plan of how you will invest this money in order to solve the challenge of youth unemployment in your community.

Sample Activity of Integration

The classroom floors at a nearby primary school are dusty and inhabitable for pupils. The headteacher of this school is planning to renovate all the seven classroom floors by covering them with tiles, but he lacks knowledge in cost estimation.

Support:

Each classroom floor measures 8 m by 7 m. Each tile measures 40 cm by 35 cm. The tiles cost UGX 18,000 per square meter

Task

Make a budget that can help the headteacher to plan for the renovation of the classrooms.

Sample Activity of Integration

According to the Auditor General’s report, Uganda Airlines posted a sharp increase in losses from UGX 15 billion in the 2018/19 financial year to UGX 102 billion in 2019/20. The Uganda Airlines CRT 900 aircraft which travels to Dar es Salaam, has a seating capacity of 64 Economy Class and 12 Business Class seats. The management of Uganda Airlines is looking for a strategy to maximise profits from this route.

Support:

The Airline charges UGX 850,000 per First Class ticket and UGX 600,000 for each Economy Class ticket.

The daily operational costs amount to approximately USD 8,500.

If you were the Business Strategic Manager of Uganda Airlines, write a strategic plan to the management, highlighting how the Airline can achieve the objective of maximising profits.
