LSC: GENERAL SCIENCE SENIOR ONE

This Learner's book one has been written in line with the revised subject syllabus. The General Science subject is a blend of three subjects such as Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
The knowledge and skills which have been incorporated are what is partly required to produce a learner who has the competences that are needed in the 21 st century. This has been done by providing a range of activities which
will be conducted both within and outside the classroom setting. The learner is expected to be able to work as an individual, in pairs and groups according to the nature of the activities.
This Learner's Book one has been designed for a special category of learners with learning difficulties such as learners with visual impairment, learners with
physical impairment, learners in prison and others who do the conventional laboratory experiments. Models, audios, pictorials and any other suitable forms of instructional materials are highly encnuraged for use during class activities. Since it is a learner-centered book, it focuses on developing competences
rather than to merely passing over knowledge because of a variety of learner
activities incorporated with content.
Consequently, this book will enable you to attain the ability to understand and apply knowledge to a variety of situations while expressing different chapter and topic content.
