SENIOR THREE GENERAL SCIENCE

General Science Senior Three, as outlined in Uganda's new lower secondary curriculum, serves as an alternative course for learners who face challenges in engaging with practical laboratory work due to special needs or disabilities. This subject replaces the traditional separate sciences—biology, chemistry, and physics—on the timetable, providing a comprehensive and integrated approach to scientific education. The curriculum emphasizes experiential learning and deep understanding through scientific inquiry and rational thought. It offers learners a variety of contexts designed to engage their interest and provide opportunities to build life-related knowledge, experience, and skills. Teachers are encouraged to extend beyond textbooks, offering meaningful contexts that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and the application of scientific principles to everyday life. ​
