NEWS/P/1: CHILDHOOD DISEASES (IMMUNISATION)

Immunization is the process of giving a person a vaccine to protect them from a specific disease. Vaccines contain weakened or killed forms of the germs that cause the disease. When a person receives a vaccine, their immune system produces antibodies that fight the germs. These antibodies stay in the person's body and prevent them from getting sick if they are exposed to the same germs again.
