This is the precolonial trade carried out at the East African coast , it replaced Barter trade , it involved movement of people with their goods over long distances to and fro the interior of East Africa. The participants were , Nyamwezi , yao , kamba etc . items of trade were; ivory, Gold, bee wax, Guns etc
