STANDARD OF LIVING

Standard of living is the measure of the socio-economic wellbeing of an individual/ society as represented by the basket of goods consumed. OR Standard of living is the condition of life in which people live or hope to live. NOTE The term wellbeing (welfare) means the state of mind which reflects happiness and satisfaction of an individual. Therefore, welfare is taken to be part of standard of living.
